SLEEPING
1. Our Lonely Planet book recommended Castle Inn as one of their two top choices. By no means does the LP website make it seem bad, but nor is it quite as flattering. Seems location is ideal (perhaps even too close to the city center!) and value is great.

TRANSPORT
1. Getting from Chopin Airport (WAW) to the Old Town (Castle Inn in this example):
  • by public transportation; bus 175 goes from the airport to the Pilsudskiego Square. In order to get to Castle Inn, you should get off the bus at the final stop and walk ca. 200 metres in the direction of the Castle Square. This is the cheapest option, but also not very comfortable at night, since after 10 p.m. buses run only every half an hour.
  • catching a taxi at the airport; the cost of getting to Castle Inn will be around 50 PLN at 6 p.m. and ca. 80-100 PLN at night. Taxis are not allowed to enter the Castle Square at which we are located, so they stop 70 metres from our door.
  • they can also arrange a private transfer for you; the cost of one transfer is 105 PLN. A driver would be waiting for you at a terminal with a name board and helping you with luggage. The car also takes guests directly to the door of the hotel.
